Here at Pakefield we've put together a  guide of things to do in and around Norfolk during the month of June. Hopefully there's a little something for everyone!

Beginners Birding - RSPB Titchwell Marsh
Every Tuesday In June - £7-00
Has the recent sighting of the very rare Wryneck Woodpecker on the park sparked an interest in bird watching? 
Discover how easy bird watching is as you learn the baic principles of avian ID, plus a few hints & tips. Across a range of habitats including marshland & fresh water lagoons, by the end of the walk you'll be able to indentify a wide range of birds. 
 Coastal Walk Challenge - Hunstanton
Friday 9th & Saturday 10th June
Fundraising for the Community Sports Foundation, the back breaking 47 mile walk from Hunstanton to Cromer is full of picturesque views and a sensational feeling of achievment. You'll be led by experienced leaders and not to worry, as there's food stops and toilet breaks along the way!

 Bee Weekend - Oxburgh Hall
Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th June 
Adults £5.80 - Children £2.90
With our new bee garden we are now a certified honey bee friendly park at Pakefield. After taking the BBKA bee pledge we're always keen to raise awareness about the importance of bees.
Organised by the West Norfolk Bee-Keeping Association this fantastic weekend is set within the breathtaking grounds of Oxburgh Hall. There will be interactive displays, children's activities and trails. 
Pub, Paddle & Pizza - Norwich
Wednesday June 14th - 6pm - £20 per person
Explore the river Wensum by canoe, take in the sights of Cow Tower, the old Bullard & Sons Anchor Brewery and Sir Thomas More's novel Utopia painted on the side of the derelict Eastern Electricity Building by Rory Macbeth. Afterwards reward yourself with a stone baked pizza from the Red Lion Pub. 

Vintage Rally & Country Fair - Goodrich Park
Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th June - 10am-7pm
Adults £8 - Children £6
 Journey through the ages in beautiful Goodrich Park near Diss. The list of attractions here goes on and on but visitors will be astounded by re-enactment displays, trade stands and a craft marquee full of rural craft demonstrations, as well as admiring impressive classic cars, motorbikes, steam engines and military vehicles. Children will be entertained by a vintage fairground and donkey rides. Theres a licenced bar and catering stalls.

Bat & Barn Owl Evening - Welney Wetland Centre
Saturday June 24th - 8pm-11pm 
Adult £12 - Children £5
Under the cover of darkness the reserve comes alive. With the company of a warden, wander at dusk as you spot hundreds of species including eight types of bat, a range of moth species and wait patiently for graceful barn owls to start hunting.

Swannington In Bloom Open Gardens
Swannington Manor - Sunday June 25th - 10am
£5-00 Entry
With a 300 year old yew tree hedge, Swannington Manor opens its doors, alongside The Old Rectory with it's stunning rose gardens and the Woodland Wander. Indulge with a cream tea, ice cream or homemade cake. If you really feel like spoiling yourself there's the Pimms Terrace at Swannington Manor and local Panther Ale with a Swannington Farm to Fork barbecue on Swannington Common. There's also a tombola and classic car exhibition. 
 The Royal Norfolk Show - Norwich
Wednesday 28th & Thursday 29th June
£30 For A 2 Day Ticket 
The annual agricultural Norfolk Show has become somewhat of a tradition for many of the great county's residents. With over 700 retailers, a  monumental collection of local artisan food and drink producers and a mirage of entertainment from the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery, to cooking demonstrations, fashion shows and much more. It celebrates all that is Norfolk, definitely not one to miss. 
The Rocky Horror Picture Show Open Cinema
Holkham Hall - Friday June 30th
Doors At 7.45pm - Film At 9.15pm
 Outdoor cinema's are all the rage. The reason? They're fantastic. Watching a cult classic, happy go lucky film under the big blue Norfolk sky is the perfect way to spend an evening. The Rocky Horror Picture Show will be shown in the beautiful garden of Holkham Hall for one night only!
And for those of you looking for something a little more adventurous...
Surfing Lessons - Cromer
Start your life as a surfer with a beginners lesson just in time for summer. Cover the basics of surfing, paddling the board, catching the waves, standing up, wave selection, turning techniques, basic surf etiquette, ocean awareness and surf safety.   
Paintballing - Top Dog Paintballing
 Get competitive within 86 acres of green woodland, as you battle friends and family in a laugh out loud game of paintball. Choose your battle field game style from last man standing to defending to a village. Ideal for those looking to try something new in the open air. 
Hopefully there's something for everyone to get up to!
